Atlético Nacional moves toward signing winger Ian Poveda

Colombian club Atlético Nacional is in advanced talks to sign 26‑year‑old winger Ian Poveda, who became a free agent after leaving Internacional de Bogotá. The club sees the Colombian‑British forward as a key addition to boost speed and attacking options, and has already reached an understanding with Poveda on salary and a season‑and‑a‑half contract.

The remaining point of negotiation concerns a clause giving Atlético Nacional a percentage of any future transfer rights, which both sides are analysing. While another Colombian team watches the developments, no final agreement has been announced yet. Poveda previously trained in Manchester City’s youth system and played for several English clubs before returning to Colombia.
