Atlus replaces English voice cast for Persona 4 Revival

Atlus has announced that the entire English voice cast will be replaced for the upcoming Persona 4 Revival remake, which is scheduled for release on February 18 next year.

Producer Kazuhisa Wada explained the decision by stating that the company was unable to reassemble the original ensemble. He noted that some former actors have left the voice acting industry, while others have achieved a level of fame that makes their involvement in such a project unfeasible.

The decision has sparked debate among fans on social media, with some pointing out that Atlus also replaced the full English cast for the Persona 3 Reload remake. Critics have also noted that the company previously replaced only individual actors in Persona 4: Golden, rather than recasting the entire group.

While the English dub will feature new performers, the original Japanese voice cast will remain unchanged. Persona 4 Revival will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, and will be available on Game Pass starting on its release day.
