ATM Milan awards top spot to Karsan's KMobility in €103 million electric bus tender
The public‑transport authority ATM Milan has completed the technical and financial evaluation of its tender for 110 twelve‑metre battery‑electric buses, a framework contract valued at over €103 million. In the provisional ranking, KMobility – the Italian distributor of Karsan buses – achieved the highest technical score (54.296 points), ahead of BYD Europe (53.003) and Powerbus in consortium with Yutong France (52.635).
After the financial offers were opened, the combined scores kept KMobility in first place with 88.314 points and BYD Europe second with 83.271 points, while other bidders such as YES‑EU Italy, Solaris Italia, Iveco and Daimler Buses Italia shifted lower. The evaluation committee paused the final decision on 24 July to request additional documentation from the leading bidder, so the award remains pending.
