ATR/BPN launches integrated land title transfer service in Indonesia

The Indonesian Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has launched an integrated land title transfer service, aiming to complete certificate name changes within a maximum of 10 days. The program was inaugurated by Minister Nusron Wahid on August 17, 2026.

The 10-day process consists of three integrated stages: a three-day verification of Land and Building Acquisition Duty (BPHTB) by local governments using a ‘positive fictitious’ approach—where applications are deemed approved if not verified within the timeframe—a two-day period for the creation of Sale and Purchase Deeds (AJB) by Land Deed Officials (PPAT), and a final five-day processing period at the Land Office (Kantah).

The first phase involves 17 Land Offices, including locations in West Jakarta, North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, South Tangerang, and Depok. The program is scheduled to expand to an additional 24 offices on September 24, 2026, with a target of reaching 100 offices by the end of December 2026.
