Atresmedia expands international reach with new series distribution deals

Atresmedia Sales Las hijas de la criada MIPCOM 2026 audiovisual production content distribution

Atresmedia is expanding its international presence through significant commercial agreements and brand recognition. At the MIPCOM 2026 fair in Cannes, Atresmedia Sales secured multiple distribution deals for its fiction catalog, most notably for the period drama ‘Las hijas de la criada’, an adaptation of Sonsoles Ónega’s Planeta Prize-winning novel. The series has been licensed to broadcasters in Portugal (RTP), Ireland (TG4), Finland (YLE), Romania (Antena Group), and Croatia (HRT).

Other productions such as ‘A la deriva’ and ‘Sueños de libertad’ have also garnered interest across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Additionally, the series ‘Las hijas de la criada’ is scheduled to join the Netflix catalog on November 6, following its conclusion on Antena 3 and its removal from the atresplayer platform.

Separately, the broadcaster Antena 3 has received international recognition for its corporate rebranding. The network has been nominated for a GEMA Global Award in the ‘Best Brand Image’ category, acknowledging its visual identity renewal designed for its 35th anniversary.
