Atri hosts food festival and prepares for annual running race
The city of Atri, Italy, recently hosted the 23rd edition of ‘Atri a Tavola’ on August 12 and 13, 2026. The event drew thousands of visitors to the historic center for a program featuring gastronomy, culture, and entertainment. Key highlights included a session with Italian national basketball player Simone Fontecchio regarding nutrition and athletic performance, as well as a performance by artist Jo Squillo in Piazza Duomo.
Additionally, the city is preparing for the 24th edition of the ‘Notturna Atriana – Trofeo Claudio Baldini’ on August 20. Organized by Polisportiva Hat Atri, the event includes youth races, a competitive 9-kilometer run, and a 6-kilometer recreational walk. The race serves as a memorial to Claudio Baldini and is part of several regional athletic circuits.
