Atrio acquires Ibis Copacabana and announces R$ 10 million renovation

Atrio, in partnership with an investor group, has acquired the Ibis Copacabana Posto 5 hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The company plans to invest over R$ 10 million in revitalizing the property over the next three years.

The hotel features 231 apartments across 16 floors. While the ownership has changed, the property will continue to operate under the Ibis brand. Atrio, which remains in charge of operations, aims to capitalize on the year-round tourism demand in the Copacabana area. With this acquisition, Atrio expands its portfolio to include five hotels in Rio de Janeiro and seven in the state of Rio de Janeiro, totaling 1,060 units.
