Ats Brianza issues fines for improper healthcare exemptions

Ats Brianza is issuing a series of fines to individuals who allegedly improperly used healthcare exemptions for medications, specialist visits, and diagnostic tests during 2021.

Common errors leading to these penalties include the incorrect use of exemptions for dependents, claiming unemployment status while having active employment, or misapplying exemptions intended for specific pension holders. In some instances, individuals have exceeded income limits by only a few euros.

The CISL pensioners' union is offering assistance through its social desks to help citizens understand the assessments and provide necessary information to avoid further sanctions. The union notes that in many cases, defensive memos can be presented to obtain the cancellation of the fine, such as when proving a person was indeed unemployed.
