AT&T elects Fazal F. Merchant to Board of Directors

AT&T has elected Fazal F. Merchant to its board of directors, effective September 8. Merchant will serve as a member of the Audit Committee as well as the Corporate Development and Finance Committee.

Merchant brings extensive experience in finance and technology, having most recently served as President and Chief Financial Officer of the cloud and AI security firm Wiz, Inc. His previous leadership roles include serving as Co-Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer of Tanium Inc.

His professional background also includes senior positions at DreamWorks Animation and DIRECTV, where he served as Chief Financial Officer of DIRECTV Latin America. Additionally, Merchant has held roles in investment banking at Barclays Capital and the Royal Bank of Scotland, and began his career at Ford Motor Company. He currently serves on the board of Warner Bros. Discovery.
