AT&T Performing Arts Center and Dallas Theater Center Merge to Form Unified Arts Organization

The AT&T Performing Arts Center and the Dallas Theater Center announced exploratory plans to combine their organizations under a single umbrella. The merger, approved by each entity’s executive committees on July 27, aims to expand programming, increase education opportunities, and sustain support for local artists while preserving each institution’s artistic identity.

The unified organization will be led by AT&T PAC President and CEO Warren Tranquada, with Dallas Theater Center continuing its theatrical productions under Artistic Director Jaime Castañeda. The merger, pending board approval and completion of due‑diligence, is slated to launch in early 2027, with no anticipated interruption to performances, subscriptions, or memberships.
