Attica Governor Nikos Chardalias Reports 58.8% of Regional Plan Implemented

Regional Governor Nikos Chardalias presented a mid‑term review of the Attica Region after the first 30 months in office. He said 58.8% of the strategic plan is already being carried out, covering more than 300 projects and 50 interventions across all 66 municipalities, with a total budget of €2.59 billion.

Key components include 64 major flood‑protection works and a program to clean and maintain 448 streams, totaling about 880 km. Chardalias highlighted that, for the first time in decades, the region operates under a comprehensive operational plan that is continuously monitored and publicly reported, emphasizing accountability and citizen participation.
