Attica Implements Road Closures for IG Posidonia Tour Cycling Race

Temporary traffic measures will be enforced on Saturday, 30 May, in the southern suburbs of Attica as the IG Posidonia Tour 2026 cycling race takes place. The Greek Police (EL.AS) announced restrictions for municipalities including Palaio Faliro, Alimos, Elliniko‑Argyroupoli, Glyfada, Váris‑Boulas‑Vouliagmeni, Kropia, Sarion, and Lavreotiki.

Key restrictions include a ban on stopping and parking between 06:00‑14:00 on both sides of the coastal avenue between Kalyvion and Sounio, and staged vehicle closures on specific arterial roads such as Poseidonos Avenue, K. Karamanlis Avenue, and Athena Avenue at designated times. Police urge pedestrians, cyclists and e‑scooter users to stay clear of the race route and ask drivers to avoid the affected sections and follow traffic signage.

The measures aim to ensure the safety of participants and minimize disruption during the event.
