Attica Region allocates €15.54 million for municipal sports infrastructure

The Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, has signed decisions to allocate 15.54 million euros for the construction, upgrading, and improvement of municipal sports infrastructure across ten municipalities in the Attica region.

Funded through the national component of the Public Investment Program, these projects are part of the Attica Regional Development Program 2026–2030. The participating municipalities include Agioi Anargyroi–Kamatero, Agia Varvara, Egaleo, Ilion, Kallithea, Lavreotiki, Papagou–Cholargos, Petroupoli, Saronikos, and Haidari.

The interventions aim to improve functionality, safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency. Works include building new facilities, reconstructing tracks and fields, replacing playing surfaces, upgrading locker rooms and sanitary facilities, installing modern lighting, and providing sports equipment.
