Attica Region and Beijing agree on strategic cooperation framework

The Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, met with Xia Linmao, the Executive Vice Mayor of Beijing, to strengthen administrative cooperation between Greece and the People's Republic of China.

Both parties agreed to establish a framework for collaboration in several key sectors, including culture, tourism, trade, research, and innovation. These initiatives are set to be formalized through a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation, which will be signed during Hardalias's upcoming visit to Beijing.

During the meeting, Hardalias introduced the new 'Attic Culture' organization and proposed China as the honored guest for its inaugural international festival. Xia Linmao highlighted Beijing's role as a global technological hub and encouraged businesses from Attica to invest in China, noting the importance of the 20-year strategic relationship between Greece and China.
