Attorney General Todd Blanche questions FBI takeover of Nancy Guthrie case

Attorney General Todd Blanche has expressed reservations about the FBI taking full control of the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. Speaking in an interview, Blanche stated that while federal authorities are providing manpower and forensic assistance, taking over the case with ‘sharp elbows’ may not be the best course of action for the investigation.

Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of ‘Today’ show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on January 31 in Tucson, Arizona. The case has reached the six-month mark without a public breakthrough. The investigation is currently led by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, which has faced scrutiny and allegations of errors. FBI Director Kash Patel has previously criticized local leadership for allegedly delaying federal involvement in the search.
