Attorney General's Office urged to evaluate Tim 9 investigative team

Legal observer Fajar Trio has called on the Attorney General's Office to evaluate 'Tim 9', a special investigative team, due to concerns regarding potential conflicts of interest. The controversy stems from the team's investigation into former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah.

Critics, including the Civil Coalition of Anti-Corruption Society (KOSMAK), have highlighted the involvement of Hari Wibowo, the current Director A of Jampidum and head of Tim 9. Wibowo previously served as the Head of the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office, where he was linked to a controversial auction of PT Gunung Bara Utama (GBU) assets worth Rp 1.945 trillion.

Fajar Trio clarified that the responsibility for executing the asset auction lay with the Central Jakarta District Attorney, not the Jampidsus, asserting that the process was outside the jurisdiction of Febrie Adriansyah. The observer emphasized the need for transparency to maintain the institution's integrity and prevent selective law enforcement.
