ATUPU founders removed from university commercial network

The three founders of the ATUPU union—Massimiliano Scognamiglio, Walter Scognamiglio, and Matteo Fortunati—were removed from the commercial network of Pegaso, Mercatorum, and San Raffaele universities on October 7. The removals occurred within five minutes of each other.

According to a statement from the union, the decision followed requests made in June and July for clarifications regarding commercial practices, VAT treatments, and potential economic dependency. ATUPU had previously invited commercial director Stefano Parlato and lawyer Diego Riva to a union meeting, an invitation that reportedly went unanswered.

The union leaders stated that the decision impacts approximately 60 families and workers who have invested years into the system. They are seeking clarification on the reasons for the removals and whether there is a connection to the formation of the union, a matter they intend to address through competent legal authorities.
