ATuPU seeks regulatory clarity for Italy's digital university sector
The Association for the Protection of University Hubs (ATuPU) is seeking increased representation and clearer regulations for businesses operating within Italy’s digital university sector. Following its official launch, the association has seen growing interest and requests for membership, signaling a demand for authoritative representation to protect digital university enterprises.
ATuPU leadership, including President Massimiliano Scognamiglio, is calling for balanced contractual relationships, transparent rules, and the freedom to represent their interests without commercial repercussions. The association plans to organize a National Assembly of University Hubs to develop shared proposals regarding contracts, compensation, entrepreneurial autonomy, and investment protection. These proposals will be presented to universities and major groups, such as Multiversity.
Additionally, the association is seeking clarification regarding recent judicial news involving Multiversity and Università Pegaso, emphasizing the importance of maintaining student and operator confidence. ATuPU intends to initiate discussions with government institutions, specifically targeting the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, to ensure their sector's needs receive institutional attention.
