ATV confirms return of reality competition show Combate

The Peruvian television channel ATV has officially confirmed the return of the competitive reality show ‘Combate’. The announcement, made via social media, indicates the launch of a new era titled ‘Combate-Nueva Generación’ featuring a new cast of participants.

Social media posts from the network teased the return with the question, “¿Rojos o Verdes?” (Reds or Greens?), and shared footage of the prepared studio sets. While the specific cast and hosts have not been finalized, there is significant public speculation regarding potential presenters, including Mario Irivarren.

The original program, which was a pioneer in the competitive reality genre in Peru, aired for seven and a half years before its last live broadcast on December 14, 2018. Former host Gian Piero Díaz previously indicated in interviews that he does not intend to return to hosting this specific format.
