ATV undergoes major newsroom and presenter reshuffle
The Hungarian television station ATV is undergoing significant personnel changes across its news and morning programming.
András Szurok, the current editor-in-chief of ATV Híradó, is reportedly leaving the station to join RTL Híradó. He will be succeeded by Szabolcs Lendvai, a veteran media professional with nearly 40 years of experience, starting in September.
Several presenters and staff members are also departing or transitioning. Nikolett Toró has left the station for a role in public media, and Luca Stohl is moving to public service television. Additionally, Ferenc Szlazsánszky is stepping down from the ATV Start morning program, though he will continue to appear on the Forum and Aktuál programs.
To bolster its lineup, ATV is recruiting new talent. Edit Varga, a former MTVA presenter, will join the Híradó team, and Dávid Szirmay, formerly of Blikk, will join the morning show alongside Egon Rónai and András Somos. The station is also expanding its weather team with the addition of Korinna Kocsis and adding Tibor Tresó as a reporter for Heti Napló.
