ATX index nears record highs amid strong 2026 performance

The Austrian ATX index has shown significant movement near its all-time highs. On August 13, 2026, the index traded nearly at its record level, with the circuit board manufacturer AT&S marking its 43rd time as the top performer in the ATX this year.

By midday on Friday, the index experienced a slight dip, falling 0.16 percent to 6,717.74 points. Despite this momentary fluctuation, the ATX has maintained strong growth throughout 2026, recording a year-to-date increase of approximately 25.52 percent.

Key individual stock performances include gains for Wienerberger, UNIQA Insurance, and Österreichische Post, while voestalpine and Raiffeisen saw declines. Erste Group Bank remains the largest company by market capitalization within the index, while OMV recorded the highest trading volume.
