au Financial Service expands au PAY ecosystem and services

au Financial Service has announced several updates to its au PAY ecosystem. The au PAY Point Investment service has surpassed 7 million users as of July 2026. To commemorate this milestone, a campaign offering a total of up to 5 million Ponta points will run until October 20. The campaign includes point distribution for users of the Bitcoin-linked course, point deposits, and various investment trust courses.

Additionally, the au PAY Prepaid Card is now compatible with Google Pay. Following its previous support for Apple Pay, Android users with devices running Android 9 or later can now register the card in Google Wallet. This enables contactless payments at Mastercard-supported merchants, as well as use within Google Pay-compatible apps and online stores.
