Aubrey Plaza welcomes first child with Christopher Abbott

Actress Aubrey Plaza has reportedly welcomed a baby girl with her partner, actor Christopher Abbott. While the couple has not released an official statement, Plaza was photographed in New York City on August 9 carrying a newborn. The sighting occurred following Abbott’s final performance in the Broadway production of “Death of a Salesman.”

Reports indicate the baby was born during the last week of July. Plaza had previously confirmed her pregnancy in April during an appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast, describing the news as “a beautiful surprise after an emotional year.”

The arrival follows a difficult period for Plaza, who lost her estranged husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, to suicide in January 2025. Plaza and Abbott, who have worked together on projects such as the film “Black Bear,” have maintained a relatively private relationship.
