Auburn coach Alex Golesh addresses offensive struggles following LSU loss

Auburn head coach Alex Golesh identified offensive line performance as the primary cause for the Tigers' 38-17 loss to No. 18 LSU. Golesh noted that struggles in the trenches led to a difficult day for the rushing attack, which managed only 67 yards with a 2.4 yards-per-carry average. This lack of run support resulted in seven sacks allowed and increased pressure on quarterback Byrum Brown.

Golesh emphasized the need for more creative running schemes to improve efficiency and avoid being behind in score. The team also struggled on critical downs, converting only 4 of 16 fourth-down attempts. Looking ahead, the Tigers are preparing for an SEC road game against Ole Miss, where Golesh aims to address mistakes across all three phases of the game and improve offensive consistency.
