Auburn linebacker Xavier Atkins to miss game against Georgia

Auburn University linebacker Xavier Atkins will miss the upcoming game against No. 1 Georgia. Atkins, the team’s second-leading tackler with 37 tackles this season, will not travel to Athens for the Southeastern Conference matchup.

Coach Alex Golesh confirmed the absence but declined to provide a specific reason for Atkins being unavailable. In his absence, sophomore Bryce Deas and De’Marcus Riddick are expected to see increased playing time alongside Elijah Melendez.
