Auburn men's tennis wins SEC Starkvegas Showdown

The Auburn men’s tennis team won the SEC Starkvegas Showdown at the A. J. Pitts Tennis Centre, finishing the tournament with a 2-1 record against Mississippi State, Alabama, and Vanderbilt.

Freshman Patrik Munkhammar and Alvaro Jimenez contributed significantly to Auburn's success. Munkhammar secured multiple singles victories, including wins over Segundo Goity Zapico and Rohan Hazratwala, while also earning a doubles win alongside Joey Phillips.

Alabama's men's tennis team also competed in the event, highlighted by strong performances from Aleksander Blus and Theo Hegarty. The duo secured two doubles victories, defeating teams from Vanderbilt and Mississippi State. Alabama concluded the weekend with wins over Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, despite a 4-3 loss to Auburn.
