Auburn Tigers rebuild roster under new coach Alex Golesh

The Auburn Tigers are entering the 2026 season under new head coach Alex Golesh, following the departure of Hugh Freeze. Golesh has rebuilt much of the roster using the transfer portal, specifically bringing in players from his previous program at USF to implement his offensive scheme.

Key offensive contributors include quarterback Byrum Brown, along with wide receivers Keshaun Singleton, Chas Nimrod, and Jeremiah Koger. The roster was further bolstered by the late addition of veteran slot receiver Tray Taylor, who previously played for Coastal Carolina and Troy. This influx of talent aims to provide stability and familiarity with Golesh’s system as the team prepares for a nine-game conference schedule in the SEC.
