Auchan green tomato salad offers better value than Vortumnus

A comparison of store-bought green tomato salads in Poland reveals significant differences in value and composition between brands. A product from Vortumnus, available in Dino and Społem stores, contains 240g of vegetables after draining from a 500g jar, resulting in a cost of over 33 PLN per kg of drained product.

In contrast, the Auchan private label version offers better value. The 680g jar contains 410g of vegetables after draining, meaning vegetables make up over 60% of the contents. At a price of 5.99 PLN, the cost per kg of drained product is approximately 14.61 PLN, providing nearly twice as much food for a lower price.

Both products feature a traditional ingredient list without artificial preservatives or dyes, consisting of water, spirit vinegar, sugar, carrots, onions, salt, and mustard seeds.
