Audace Cerignola defeated Cosenza Calcio 3-1 in their opening match of the championship at the Monterisi stadium.

Cosenza took an early lead in the first half when McJannet scored with a low diagonal shot following an assist from Almaviva. However, Cerignola responded quickly through Gambale, who converted a tap-in after a save by Iliev.

While the second half saw a decrease in tempo, tactical substitutions by Cerignola's coach, Catalano, proved decisive. D’Orazio and Vinciguerra provided momentum for the home side, leading to a header goal by Sena in the final minutes.
