Audemars Piguet launches The Watch Keepers pre-owned platform

Audemars Piguet has introduced a new certified pre-owned digital platform called ‘The Watch Keepers’. The service is currently rolling out in Switzerland and Continental Europe, with plans for a progressive global expansion.

Under this consignment model, sellers must register, provide a serial number and proof of ownership, and ship the timepiece to an Audemars Piguet service center via insured courier. To be eligible, watches must be at least two years past their original retail sale date.

In-house watchmakers authenticate each piece against company records and assess its condition using a five-point grading system for the case, dial, and bracelet. Once verified, the watches are photographed and listed for sale via a set price or bidding format. The timepiece remains the property of the seller until the sale is finalized.

Upon purchase, buyers receive the watch along with a certificate of authenticity, a branded travel pouch, and a two-year warranty covering proper functioning. The platform aims to list approximately 100 watches at any given time.
