Audemars Piguet unveils new ceramic and Spider-Man editions
Audemars Piguet has introduced two distinct high-end timepiece collections. The first is a limited edition of 50 pieces of the Code 11.59 Tourbillon Skeleton, which marks the debut of blue ceramic within this specific collection. The watch features an 18-karat white gold and blue ceramic 41 mm case, housing a manual-winding calibre 2948 with a skeletonized architecture. The movement utilizes atomic layer deposition (ALD) to achieve a blue finish on the bridges and plate.
In a separate release, the manufacturer unveiled the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon ‘Spider-Man’ in Dubai. This limited edition of 250 pieces integrates Marvel’s superhero into the watch's design, featuring a three-dimensional white gold Spider-Man figure suspended within the sapphire crystal. The 42 mm titanium case includes a black ceramic bezel and houses the calibre 2974 movement. The character figure is crafted using CNC technology and laser engraving, requiring approximately 50 hours of manual finishing. A unique ‘Black Suit Spider-Man’ version was also created.
