Audeze launches Maxwell 2 ANC gaming headset with native head tracking

Audeze, in collaboration with Audiokinetic, has introduced the Maxwell 2 ANC gaming headset, featuring integrated active noise cancellation and native head tracking capabilities. Both companies are owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The headset utilizes 90mm planar magnetic drivers and includes self-calibrating head-tracking technology. When used with the Wwise Creation Suite, the device serves as a calibration tool for sound engineers and game developers to achieve precise 3D sound placement and spatial audio authoring without external software.

Available in models compatible with PlayStation and Xbox, the headset supports Tempest 3D AudioTech and Dolby Atmos, respectively. It offers multiple connectivity options, including low-latency wireless via USB-C dongle, Bluetooth 5.3, and wired connections. The device features a detachable beamforming microphone with AI-driven noise reduction for voice chat.
