Audi A3 gets major interior overhaul and upgraded driver‑assist tech for 2026 refresh

Audi has refreshed its A3 compact for the 2026 model year, marking the car’s 30th anniversary with a completely redesigned cabin. The new interior features a curved digital cockpit that combines an 11.9‑inch virtual‑cockpit instrument cluster with a 12.8‑inch panoramic MMI screen, new upholstery materials and a 25‑watt wireless‑charging pad. The steering wheel now includes a physical knob for certain functions.

The update also expands the driver‑assist suite. An adaptive cruise system with lane‑keeping works up to 210 km/h, integrates real‑time traffic flow data, and can automatically brake at red lights before resuming when the signal turns green. Parking assistance now offers fully‑automated maneuvers and remote control via the MyAudi app. Power‑train choices remain unchanged – gasoline, diesel and plug‑in hybrid options are retained, with the hybrid’s output and electric range increased, while sport‑focused S3 and RS3 models continue with their respective power outputs. Sales in France are reported at over 4,000 units across all body styles in 2026.
