Audi A6 e-tron sets Guinness World Record for EV range

Polish rally driver Miko Marczyk has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled by a production electric vehicle on a single charge. Driving an Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance model, Marczyk covered 1,338 km (approximately 831 miles) without recharging.

The achievement significantly exceeds the vehicle’s official WLTP range of 777 km. To reach this distance, Marczyk maintained an average energy consumption of just 7.09 kWh/100 km through highly efficient driving techniques. The journey took place in Poland, traveling along the Vistula River through cities such as Kraków, Warsaw, and Toruń before concluding near the Baltic Sea.

This record surpasses the previous mark for a production electric car, which was held by a Lucid Air Grand Touring that traveled 1,205 km. While the feat demonstrates the potential for extreme efficiency through optimized driving habits and regenerative braking, it is noted that the results are not representative of typical daily usage.
