Audi and BYD advance high-performance electric vehicle segments
High-performance electric vehicles are seeing significant developments in both the European and Asian markets. Audi has showcased the RS e-tron GT performance, a luxury electric saloon capable of a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds. The vehicle features a system output of 680kW and a WLTC driving range of 631km, designed to balance extreme speed with a quiet, comfortable cabin for long-distance travel.
In a separate development, spy shots have emerged from Europe showing a high-performance testing version of the BYD Denza Z9GT. This model appears to feature aggressive aerodynamic enhancements, including a large V-shaped air intake, a prominent rear wing, and a massive diffuser. While the standard Denza Z9GT utilizes a triple-motor system producing 850kW, the testing vehicle suggests a more extreme track-oriented variant is in development, following the high-output trends seen in the Denza Z series.
