Audi and Mercedes highlight shifts in luxury automotive markets

The premium automotive market is seeing diverse shifts in value and technology. A used Audi RS 6 Avant, originally priced at €151,598, is now being offered for €74,900. This 51% depreciation is attributed to high mileage, heavy taxation, and a declining consumer interest in large internal combustion engines. Despite the price drop, the vehicle retains supercar-level performance with its 600 hp V8 biturbo engine.

In contrast, Mercedes is expanding its electric lineup with the new CLA Shooting Brake. This 100% electric model aims to combine coupé-like elegance with the utility of a station wagon. The CLA 250+ variant features an 800V architecture and offers an announced range of up to 768 km, producing 272 hp and reaching 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
