Audi F1 duo Bortoleto, Hülkenberg fall short of Q3 at Silverstone
Audi’s two drivers struggled in qualifying at the British Grand Prix. Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto posted an 11th‑place grid slot after a gearbox issue early in Q1 and a mistake in corner 6 that cost him 0.03 seconds, leaving him just outside Q3. He expressed optimism about the race despite missing Q3.
German Nico Hülkenberg qualified 13th after a difficult Sprint, where a 5‑second penalty for going off the track dropped him to 15th. In qualifying he failed to progress past Q2, citing two unsatisfactory runs and time loss after Alex Albon pitted. Both drivers hope to improve in the race and target their first points of the season.
