Audi F1 Showcar Transported Across Brazil by Volkswagen Meteor Truck
Volkswagen’s Meteor 29.530 heavy‑duty truck moved a replica of Audi’s Formula 1 car from the Port of Santos, through the Audi Brazil parts distribution centre in Vinhedo, to the newly opened Audi Experience Center in São Paulo. The operation highlighted the Meteor’s 530 hp engine, Euro 6 emissions technology, real‑time connectivity and a 74‑ton towing capacity.
During the convoy, the truck was escorted by iconic Audi models such as the RS 3, RS Q8, TT RS, R8 and RS e‑tron GT Performance. Ricardo Alouche, vice‑president of Sales, Marketing and Services at Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, said the mission “demonstrates the versatility and reliability of the Meteor in complex logistical tasks.” The showcar, a faithful replica of the F1 monoposto, will be displayed in several Brazilian cities and at the São Paulo Grand Prix in November, underscoring Audi’s debut in the sport and its connection with Brazilian fans. Gerold Pillekamp, Head of Marketing & Communication for Audi Brazil, called the project a “symbolic bridge to the public.”
