Audi F1 Team wary of maintaining points streak at Italian Grand Prix
Audi F1 Team racing director Allan McNish has expressed caution regarding the team's ability to maintain its recent points-scoring streak at the upcoming Italian Grand Prix. After scoring points in four consecutive races—including finishes at Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort, and the Hungaroring—the team has moved ahead of Williams in the constructors' standings.
McNish noted that the Monza circuit presents a unique challenge due to its specific track layout, characterized by long straights and heavy braking zones that require a low-downforce configuration. He stated that the nature of the track could make it “difficult” to continue the current momentum.
Driver Nico Hulkenberg remains encouraged by the team's recent progress, particularly following a satisfying result at Zandvoort. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of execution to remain competitive within a tightly contested midfield.
