Audi launches limited‑edition Nuvolari hybrid supercar, its most powerful production model

Audi unveiled the Nuvolari, a limited‑edition hybrid supercar named after racing legend Tazio Nuvolari. Production is capped at 499 units, with deliveries scheduled for the first half of 2027 and a starting price of about €600,000.

The car combines a 4.0‑litre V8 biturbo engine delivering 800 PS with three axial‑flux electric motors that add 201 PS, for a total system output of 1,001 PS (736 kW). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds and exceeds 350 km/h in top speed. Power is managed by Audi’s quattro predictive ride system, which continuously monitors steering angle, acceleration, yaw rate and grip to optimise torque distribution.

Built on a carbon‑fibre‑reinforced body with active aerodynamic elements, the Nuvolari is a plug‑in hybrid rather than a pure EV, reflecting Audi’s performance‑focused halo strategy as it prepares to enter Formula 1 in 2026.
