Audi launches Nuvolari supercar with 1,001‑hp hybrid powertrain

Audi unveiled the Nuvolari, its first series‑produced super‑car, featuring a high‑performance hybrid system that delivers 1,001 PS (736 kW). The powertrain combines a 4.0‑liter V8 biturbo engine producing 800 hp with three axle‑driven electric motors, a 7.3 kWh lithium‑ion battery and quattro predictive drive technology. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds and exceeds a top speed of 350 km/h. Production is limited to 499 units, with deliveries slated for the first half of 2027. Design cues include active aerodynamics, a carbon‑fiber Audi Space Frame and a new “Titanium” exterior colour, while technological inspiration comes from Formula 1. The Nuvolari name recalls legendary driver Tazio Nuvolari and follows earlier Audi concept models that introduced innovations later adopted in production cars.
