Audi Nuvolari makes U.S. debut at Monterey Car Week
Audi is making the United States debut of its new flagship performance vehicle, the Nuvolari, during Monterey Car Week. The limited-production plug-in hybrid supercar will be showcased at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 14, followed by an appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 16.
Produced in a record-breaking development cycle of just 405 days, the Nuvolari is designed to serve as a technological testbed for Audi’s future electrified models. The vehicle features a high-performance hybrid powertrain producing 987 horsepower (1,001 PS) and is capable of reaching top speeds exceeding 217 mph.
Only 499 units will be produced worldwide. The car incorporates advanced engineering including a full carbon-fiber body, active aerodynamics, quattro predictive ride technology, and a new Audi Space Frame. The development process utilized insights from Audi’s Formula 1 program to optimize energy management, lightweight construction, and aerodynamics.
