Audi Q7 production continues at Bratislava plant
The third generation of the Audi Q7 is being produced at the Volkswagen Group's manufacturing complex in Bratislava, Slovakia. Production for the new generation began at the facility in 2026, continuing a manufacturing relationship that has existed at the site since 2005.
The Bratislava plant is a large-scale high-tech facility covering more than 2,000,000 m². As of late 2025, the site employed approximately 11,500 people and produced 93,106 Audi vehicles during that year, including the Q7 and Q8 models.
Manufacturing processes at the site utilize advanced lightweight construction techniques. The facility features a press shop with a maximum pressing force of 91,000 kN and employs over 1,000 robots to perform precise assembly tasks. To join various materials, the plant uses a combination of laser and plasma welding, soldering, gluing, and friction element welding.
