Audi Quattro tops survey of classic cars fans want to see return
A survey conducted by car broker Carwow reveals that German car enthusiasts most desire a comeback for the Audi Quattro. According to the results, 31.4 percent of respondents named the Audi Quattro as their top choice for a revival.
The Volkswagen Beetle followed with 22 percent, while the Mercedes 190 and Opel Manta trailed closely at 20.6 percent and 20.4 percent, respectively. The Trabant received 5.7 percent of the votes.
European automakers are increasingly utilizing retro designs to compete with rising manufacturers from China. Examples of this trend include Citroën’s concept for a new 2CV, expected to reach production by 2028, and Renault’s electric Renault 5. While Audi continues to use the “quattro” name for its all-wheel-drive technology, no official return of the original sport coupe has been announced.
