Audi reveals teaser images for upcoming A2 e-tron electric hatchback

Audi has released teaser images for the upcoming A2 e-tron, marking the return of the A2 nameplate 21 years after its original discontinuation. The new all-electric compact hatchback is expected to launch in 2026 and is positioned as the brand’s most affordable electric model, sitting below the Q4 e-tron.

Built on the MEB platform, the A2 e-tron will feature a rear-wheel-drive configuration. The lineup is expected to offer various battery and power combinations, including a 170 hp entry-level version with a 50 kWh LFP battery, a 190 hp mid-range model with a 58 kWh NMC battery, and higher-performance versions reaching up to 326 hp with a 79 kWh battery.

Estimated ranges vary by configuration, with projections reaching up to 649 km for the 231 hp model. The vehicle will be manufactured in Ingolstadt, Germany.
