Audi rolls out new A3 and tests next‑generation Q3 prototype in Italy

Audi unveiled the fourth‑generation A3 for the Italian market, featuring a redesigned interior with the new Audi digital stage that combines an 11.9‑inch Virtual Cockpit and a 12.8‑inch curved MMI display. The model adds advanced driver‑assistance functions such as an adaptive cruise system usable up to 210 km/h, traffic‑light‑dependent automatic braking and a machine‑learning‑based parking assistant. Powertrain options span conventional TFSI and TDI engines, mild‑hybrid, plug‑in hybrid units delivering up to 272 hp and a pure‑electric range of 143 km (WLTP), as well as performance variants S3 (333 hp) and RS 3 (400 hp). Prices start at €33,100 for the Sportback and €44,600 for the e‑hybrid, with deliveries planned for October 2026.

Separately, a near‑production Audi Q3 was photographed in Turin without the usual camouflage, bearing “Audi AG – Research and Development” stickers. The sighting suggests post‑launch testing that could address software updates, component validation or preparation for a future Q3 RS, potentially with an electrified powertrain and revised chassis. The prototype may also be part of routine quality and ADAS calibration work for existing production models.
