Audi S6 Plug‑In Hybrid Prototype Spotted at Nürburgring

Prototypes of the next‑generation Audi S6 have been photographed at the Nürburgring without any camouflage, confirming that an official reveal is imminent. Both a sedan and an Avant (station‑wagon) version were seen, the latter with only a piece of duct‑tape covering the S‑badge on the tailgate. A fuel‑cap on the driver‑side rear fender and a high‑voltage yellow sticker on the rear window indicate the model is a plug‑in hybrid, making it the first S‑badge vehicle with electrified power.

The hybrid is expected to sit between the current S5 (3.0‑L V6, 362 hp) and the RS5 (2.9‑L V6 plus electric motor, 630 hp), offering more performance than the S5 but not encroaching on the RS5’s territory. Audi may unveil the S6 at the 2026 Paris Motor Show in early October, with European sales to follow shortly after the launch.
