Audi unveils 1,001‑hp Nuvolari hybrid supercar limited to 499 units

Audi AG has revealed the Nuvolari, a plug‑in hybrid supercar named after racing legend Tazio Nuvolari. The limited‑edition model will be produced in a run of 499 cars, with deliveries slated for early 2027 following series production start in late 2026.

Power comes from a 4.0‑litre V8 biturbo engine delivering 800 hp and three axial‑flow electric motors each rated at 150 hp, for a combined output of 1,001 hp. The car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds and exceeds 350 km/h in top‑speed runs. Its carbon‑fiber body, active rear aero‑wing capable of generating 400 kg of downforce, and a DRS‑style drag‑reduction system borrow technology from Audi’s Formula 1 programme, with feedback from drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto.

Braking uses F1‑derived ceramic‑carbon discs with an internal cooling system that improves heat dissipation by over 20 %. The Nuvolari is priced between €500,000 and €600,000, positioning it as a flagship showcase of Audi’s engineering capabilities.
