Audi A3 facelift adds curved digital cockpit and advanced driver‑assist systems
Audi announced a mid‑life update for the fourth‑generation A3, scheduled for launch in Europe in September 2026. The most visible change is a new curved cockpit that merges an 11.9‑inch Virtual Cockpit with a 12.8‑inch MMI panoramic touchscreen, while physical climate‑control knobs are replaced by on‑screen controls. Interior trim options now include carbon‑fiber, Dinamica micro‑fibre and two fabric choices, and a 25 W wireless charger is angled toward the driver.
Driver‑assistance is reorganised into three packages – Tech, Tech Plus and Tech Pro – centred on the Adaptive Cruise Assist Plus system. It combines adaptive cruise control with active lane‑keeping, automatic lane changes after signalling, red‑light braking and green‑light acceleration, and operates up to 210 km/h using online “swarm” traffic data. Park Assist Plus/Pro and a new “trained parking” feature can store up to five custom manoeuvres and execute them autonomously or via the myAudi app.
The powertrain lineup is unchanged: gasoline and diesel engines from 116 – 150 hp, and plug‑in hybrid e‑Hybrid variants at 204 hp or 272 hp with a WLTP electric range of up to 143 km. The e‑Hybrid’s tow capacity is raised to 1 700 kg (300 kg more than before). The model range retains the Sportback, Sedan and the higher‑ground‑clearance Allstreet body styles. Prices start at €33 100 for the Sportback. Launches are planned for the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Greece and other European markets, with further rollout in the United States, Brazil and Australia later in 2026‑27.
