Audi unveils new Formula 1 campus plans in Hinwil

Audi has announced plans for a major new Formula 1 campus in Hinwil, Switzerland, aimed at supporting its long-term goal of competing for world championships by 2030. The new facility on Zurichstrasse is located less than one kilometre from the team’s existing headquarters. Portions of the new campus became operational in the summer of 2026, with full completion expected by 2030.

Under the new structure, the existing Wildbachstrasse facility will be redeveloped into Audi’s Formula 1 manufacturing and wind-tunnel centre. The team will maintain a multi-site operational model: power unit development will continue in Neuburg, Germany, while technical operations will remain at the Bicester base in the United Kingdom.

Team Principal Mattia Binotto stated that the campus is designed to attract and retain world-class talent by providing a collaborative environment. Separately, driver Gabriel Bortoleto defended the team’s recent technical upgrades in Baku, asserting that data confirms the updates are working as intended despite external perceptions.
